Day Seven - As It Happened

So we're winding down for day seven now. It's been another successful one for Great Britain with the cycling trio of Jamie Staff, Jason Kenny and Chris Hoy claiming an emphatic gold in the men's time trial at the velodrome. Day eight will certainly see more medals for GB in sailing, while the fastest man on the planet will be decided when the 100m final takes place in the Birds Nest. 1650 Athletics - That is the end of day one in the athletics, the biggest talking points being Usain Bolt's outrageous stroll in the second round of the men's 100m and a superb display of long distance running from Tirunesh Dibaba.
